Located within the bustling neighborhood of Southkey Township along Jalan Bakar Batu in Johor Bahru, the Southkey Majidee Park is designed to be a key green lung and community anchor for the rapidly developing urban precinct. The park embodies a progressive approach to urban park design—promoting sustainability, accessibility, and quality of life within one of Johor Bahru’s most dynamic growth corridors.

LANDSCAPE

The design approach focuses on creating a multifunctional and inclusive public realm that supports leisure, health, and social interaction for all age groups. The landscape master plan incorporates expansive green open spaces, shaded pedestrian paths, fitness zones, interactive play areas, and water features that enhance microclimate and aesthetics.

Strategic planting of native and tropical species reinforces environmental resilience and provides seasonal interest, while urban furniture and lighting are carefully curated to promote comfort and safety. The park is also envisioned as a connector between the surrounding developments, with seamless pedestrian integration and clear wayfinding.
