DISCIPLINES
The landscape masterplan study for the Tapah District Council in Perak, initiated by the National Landscape Department (JLN), is an important framework that will serve as a key reference for the district’s urban future. This initiative aims to deliver a comprehensive planning framework for landscape development at both state and federal levels, in accordance with current policies and planning guidelines.
PLANNING
The project scope encompasses site inventory, analysis, design guidelines, and the preparation of short- and long-term action plans. The study aligns with Core Strategy 3 of the National Landscape Policy, which emphasizes the systematic and efficient development of green infrastructure to combat climate change and global warming.
The main focus is to create sustainable, functional, and high-quality urban landscapes that enhance the environment and the overall quality of life. The study will also articulate the landscape potential and strategic direction of Tapah, including the integration of green (vegetation), blue (water bodies), and heritage elements to strengthen the town’s identity and visibility.
This masterplan will serve as a foundation for future planning efforts, guiding Tapah District Council towards a greener, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly urban landscape.
