De Centrum is a landmark mixed-use development located in the heart of Kajang, Selangor, developed by Protasco Development Sdn Bhd. Strategically positioned as part of the broader De Centrum City township, the project comprises a blend of SOHO units, serviced apartments, retail and commercial complexes.

VERITAS Consulting Quantity Surveying team, under Veritas Contracts, provided quantity surveying services, supporting effective cost planning, procurement and financial management throughout the development process.

Preliminary cost estimates, project feasibility and budgeting were completed in the pre-contract stage to recommend procurement strategies and develop detailed elemental cost plans. Cost checks were conducted throughout design development to advise consistently on the financial implications of design changes. During the tender stage, the team handled Bills of Quantities, pricing documents and tender queries. Contractor recommendation and negotiations also fell under the duties of the team to ensure a cohesive team and progress. During the post-contract stage, the QS team monitored and controlled project costs, prepared monthly financial reports, valued work completed, recommended progress payments, assessed and priced variations. For transparent and effective financial management till the final stage, contractor claims were evaluated for time, loss and expense implications.
