The project is part of a regeneration initiative aimed at transforming Medan Pasar and its surrounding areas into a vibrant destination for city dwellers and a new attraction for tourists. Envisioned as a catalyst for the broader revitalization of the historic zone of the city, the former Bar Council Building and the adjacent Avenue J building on Lebuh Pasar Besar will be converted into a single structure to serve as a performance theatre. This new theatre is set to become a public and cultural landmark as per international standards in the Kuala Lumpur city center.
VERITAS Project Management Consultancy (PMC) assisted the client in delivering comprehensive Project Management Consultancy services across all project phases.
Project delivery strategy and Project execution plan were prepared based on the client’s brief, budget, and programme. The master schedule was developed, feasibility studies coordinated, and key risks identified early to set a solid foundation for project initiation. During the design phase, consultants were appointed, and design progress was regularly monitored against cost, schedule, statutory compliance and client approvals. Meanwhile, the procurement process included tender documentation, reporting and contract execution. During construction, overall coordination was maintained through regular progress meetings chaired by the PMC team. Time, cost, quality, variations, and claims were monitored closely, with monthly reports issued to track performance and deploy mitigation strategies where needed.
The project didn’t end until testing, defect rectification, authority approvals, CPC issuance, final account close-out, and DLP management were coordinated.
