DISCIPLINES
Paradise Park is a 108-room, five-story hotel operating under the Marriott Fairfield flag. The project includes custom lobby, guestroom, and amenity spaces, embracing Marriott’s encouragement of genius loci—a design approach rooted in the character of place.
ARCHITECTURE
The design of the hotel deviates from the standard Farfield model, adopting materiality and forms that are more aligned with northwest modern/ Pacific Northwest architecture. Wood and stone accents, and a stylistic shift of a typical cornice simplify and accentuate the tall floor-to-floor height. The building utilizes heat-pump water heaters, solar infrastructure and enhanced envelope to exceed the more stringent Washington state energy requirements.
INTERIORS
The interior of the units balances the focus on the fireplace in the room and sweeping views of the surrounding areas seen through the windows. The refined wood interior, real wood floors and honed natural stone provide the continuity of expression with the exterior rustic materials while offering an elegant background for a sophisticated resident. Custom carpets, art, lighting and drapery in the foyer and amenity spaces are a balance of elegance, colour and texture.
