Lillian Tay leads the design team as the Vice President of VERITAS Design Group.
She is a recognized advocate for thoughtful urban design and planning in Kuala Lumpur. Under her leadership, VERITAS’ projects have become deeply connected to the urban landscape, with a cohesive design approach creating architecture that responds to the local place and culture. VERITAS team under Lillian has designed some of the earliest sustainable and green-rated buildings in Malaysia including the Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment, One Sentral and Menara Binjai.
Lillian studied Architecture and Civil Engineering at Princeton University in the U.S., where she also worked at KPF New York until her return to Kuala Lumpur in 1995.
Her dedication for and achievements in the Malaysian architectural scene have earned her the role of PAM President (2019 – 2020). She also became the first female architect in Malaysia to receive the PAM Gold Medal for Design Excellence in 2022.
