RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Follow the company’s policies, procedures, design standards, environmental requirements, and quality management system.
  2. Develop landscape design concepts that respond to the project brief, site conditions, climate, ecology, budget, programme, and maintenance requirements.
  3. Prepare landscape master plans, planting plans, hardscape layouts, grading plans, irrigation concepts, lighting coordination plans, and detailed landscape drawings.
  4. Select appropriate plant species, materials, street furniture, water features, playground equipment, and other landscape elements.
  5. Ensure landscape proposals comply with local authority requirements, planning conditions, environmental regulations, accessibility standards, and relevant technical guidelines.
  6. Coordinate landscape design with the client, architect, planners, engineers, quantity surveyors, sustainability consultants, contractors, nurseries, and specialist suppliers.
  7. Prepare and manage the landscape design programme and ensure timely completion of all submissions and deliverables.
  8. Prepare authority submission drawings, reports, schedules, calculations, and supporting documents.
  9. Prepare specifications, planting schedules, material schedules, tender drawings, bills of quantities, and other tender documentation.
  10. Assist in the tender process, including tender clarification, technical evaluation, and recommendation of landscape contractors and specialist suppliers.
  11. Review landscape contractor shop drawings, material submissions, plant samples, mock-ups, method statements, and technical proposals.
  12. Attend client, consultant, authority, coordination, and site meetings.
  13. Conduct site inspections to monitor earthworks, drainage, hardscape works, planting works, irrigation installation, workmanship, progress, and compliance with approved drawings.
  14. Inspect plant materials at nurseries or on site to verify species, size, condition, quality, and suitability.
  15. Identify site constraints, design discrepancies, drainage issues, planting failures, and coordination problems, and recommend corrective action.
  16. Monitor the establishment and maintenance of landscape works during the defects liability or maintenance period.
  17. Carry out final inspections, prepare defect lists, and verify rectification and replacement works.
  18. Ensure submission of as-built drawings, planting records, maintenance manuals, warranties, and handover documents.
  19. Perform any other duties assigned by the Management.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Issue and distribute approved landscape drawings, specifications, schedules, and related documents.
  2. Review and endorse landscape shop drawings, plant materials, material samples, mock-ups, and technical submissions within the authorized scope.
  3. Provide formal comments and instructions on landscape design and implementation matters.
  4. Verify that completed landscape works comply with the approved design, specifications, authority requirements, and quality standards.
  5. Maintain proper records of plant selections, material approvals, design revisions, inspections, and site instructions.
