RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Follow the company’s policies, procedures, engineering standards, statutory requirements, and qualitymanagement system.
  2. Develop engineering concepts, design criteria, calculations, specifications, drawings, reports, and technical documentation.
  3. Prepare and manage the engineering design programme in accordance with the overall project schedule.
  4. Ensure that engineering designs are safe, functional, economical, buildable, maintainable, and compliant with applicable laws, codes, standards, and authority requirements.
  5. Prepare and submit engineering approval documents to relevant authorities, utility agencies, and regulatory bodies.
  6. Coordinate engineering requirements with the client, architect, planners, quantity surveyors, specialist consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities.
  7. Carry out technical studies, site investigations, assessments, simulations, and calculations as required.
  8. Review architectural and other consultant drawings to identify coordination issues, clashes, space requirements, access requirements, and technical constraints.
  9. Prepare tender drawings, specifications, schedules, reports, and other engineering tender documentation.
  10. Assist in the tender process, including responding to technical queries, evaluating technical submissions, and recommending contractors, suppliers, and specialist systems.
  11. Review contractor shop drawings, calculations, material submissions, equipment data, method statements, testing procedures, samples, and technical proposals.
  12. Attend client, consultant, authority, coordination, technical, and site meetings.
  13. Conduct site inspections to monitor installation, workmanship, safety, testing, progress, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  14. Witness inspections, testing, commissioning, performance verification, and system integration activities.
  15. Identify defects, non-compliance, design discrepancies, site constraints, and technical risks, and recommend corrective action.
  16. Assess engineering-related variations, requests for information, alternative proposals, and technical claims.
    Verify completed works and provide recommendations for stage completion, practical completion, and final completion where applicable.
  17. Ensure submission of as-built drawings, testing and commissioning records, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, certifications, and handover documents.
  18. Maintain complete and accurate engineering calculations, approvals, drawings, inspection records, and correspondence.
  19. Perform any other duties assigned by the Management.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Sign or endorse engineering drawings, calculations, reports, submissions, and correspondence where professionally qualified and authorized.
  2. Issue and distribute approved engineering drawings, specifications, instructions, and technical documents.
  3. Review and endorse shop drawings, material submissions, equipment selections, calculations, and method statements within the authorized scope.
  4. Verify that completed engineering works comply with the approved design, statutory requirements, performance criteria, and quality standards.
  5. Immediately report any engineering issue that may affect public safety, structural integrity, system performance, programme, cost, or statutory compliance.
